Project scope
Website development: deliverables, responsibilities and handover
A website proposal should identify the agreed page list, design approach, content responsibilities, platform, required integrations, accessibility considerations, testing and launch support. The final statement of work determines what is included.
What the client provides
Clients normally supply approved business information, brand assets, page copy or content approvals, and access to relevant hosting or third-party services. Content writing, photography and data migration are included only when specified in the quote.
Revisions, testing and exclusions
The proposal should state review stages and revision limits before work begins. Pre-launch checks cover agreed forms, navigation and common screen sizes. Ongoing maintenance, premium licenses, hosting fees and new features after approval are separate unless expressly included.
